Can I set Writer so that it Zooms 75% no matter what I open? ( New document or existing one. )

I don't see any way to do this, and am tire of having to mess with it all the time.

If I cant, then how can I put the Zoom up on the tool bar, so I can one-click the 75%?

1) Global Setting

To set a zoom level globally you need to use Tools -> Option -> LibreOffice -> Advanced -> Button: Open Expert Configuration and Search for Zoom. Set org.openoffice.Office.Writer - Zoom -> Property: Value, Type: long to value 75:

  • This also works for other modules. See dialog
  • As @ebot already mentioned the zoom factor is stored within the document. So if you changed the zoom factor during edit and then saved the file, subsequent openings will use the documents zoom factor and override the global setting (at least in my test this happens).

2) Toolbar Setting

To put a special zoom level into a toolbar use Tools -> Customize -> Tab: Toolbars and:

Search: %
Target: Select the Toolbar were you want to appear the zoom level

and click the black right arrow (You may place to your preferred location using up and down arrows rightmost).
Finally click Ok button

The zoom level is saved directly with the document or template. In this respect, I see no way to do the whole of all LibreOffice modules.
