Help me with the main bars

Hi, I am having a problem here. The main bars in LibreOffice are shown duplicated twice.
I need a solution to this problem. It annoys me whenever I use LibreOffice.
Please help me Make LibreOffice Great Again.

My version of LibreOffice is listed below:
Version: 6.2.6.2
Build ID: 1:6.2.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1~lo1

Make LibreOffice Great Again.

Really? You mean LibreOffice is not great because you do not understand, knows you have to serve it? Please describe exactly what bothers you. I can not see anything on your screenshot that should be duplicate.

OP considers “Menu = Main Bar”, and menu is really duplicate. But it strangely looks like a mixture of desktop manager’s panel and LibreOffice’s menu. Without the knowledge of the desktop manager in use - no way to analyze. May be it is one of these OpenGL issues. Try to disable OpenGL in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Cat: Graphics Output -> Option: Use OpenGL for all rendering

@jamesket, @anon73440385, oh, sorry, with glasses that would not have happened.

IT’S A KNOWN BUG!

Good news though: it’s fixed in 6.3. The devs MADE LibreOffice Great Again!

EDIT: spoke too soon! But on the upside v6.3 on Ubuntu 18.04.3 works for me.

According to the master bug it isn’t fixed in 6.3 - see last comment in #tdf124391 , which your linked bug #tdf124192 is referred to be a duplicate of.

So the only way I see for now to use environment variable SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen (which may turn menus to some ancient Windows-like appearance).

@anon73440385, you and your hair trigger XD …I linked to that bug in my answer.

In any case, ENVIRONMENT VARIABLE?! ANCIENT WINDOWS-LIKE APPEARANCE?! Please! We’re mere mortals! Upgrading to Ubuntu 18.04 and LibreOffice 6.3 resolved the problem for me.

What you mean by “hair trigger XD” - Sorry for the cross-post but I edited my comment, while you were updating your response with spoke to soon). What would you tell me if I would have suggested to update to 18,.04 or whatever version of ubuntu? And why are you yelling some words from my comment back to me? It was just a hint how to overcome (with some drawback) the current issue on the current system without changing software configuration. There is no need for rudeness. Just to ask `What does that mean?" in return would have been sufficient.

@anon73440385! Easy, killer! I was just kidding around! I thought it was evident with the old-school smileys but I guess not. Sorry, I meant no offense.
