I am editing a file with “track changes” enabled. All o a sudden the latter “f” no longer works. When I press the small or capital “f” key nothing happens. I can’t fix it using Tools, Customize, since that offers no way to customize plain letters of the alphabet. Nor do combinations of “f” with control, shift, or alt work In this documentl, Using Tools, Customze, or such combinations doesn’t do anything. I can access “f” here only by cutting and pasting from a document that already contains it.
This is not an issue related to the LO software. Your problem is a faulty keyboard. Either the keyboard is broken or you have dirt jammed in under the key. Perhaps someone spilled a drink on it? If it is dirt then try turning the keyboard upside down and spanking it’s bottom. This usually gets the dirt out. You might also try vacuum cleaning it. Compressed air in a can is also an option.
