Hello,

Then I installed LO 6.3.2 using official PPA , For this version the menu containing File, Edit, View etc is not visible .

How do I make the menu visible in LO 6.3.2?
I have double entries in the Mint 19.2 menu for LO 6.3.2 and 6.1.3, that is there are two versions of LO installed. How to remove the LO 6.1.3 version after the menu items in 6.3.2 are visible?

The details requested.

Your question is a bit confusing, since there is no version 6.3.2 (at least not in Index of /libreoffice/ppa/ubuntu/pool/main/libr/libreoffice). The latest fresh version is 6.3.1.2 and this install and looks pretty well in my Mint 19.2 test system. Please show:

dpkg --list | grep ^ii | grep "libreoffice-"

Hello Opaque,
i have added the requested information in my question as I coudnt add the code in a comment, the error was not allowed.

Do I need to give any more information? Any hints I can try please.

Please try to start from a terminal the following command:
/usr/bin/libreoffice --safe-mode and click button Continue in Safe Mode - Does this bring you menu back? If yes, most probably you user profile is somehow corrupted and you need to create a new one using Safe Mode once more, selecting Reset to factory settings ->Option: Reset entire profile and click to button Apply Changes and Restart (Save your profile in advance expanding Advanced using Archive Users Profile-button)

I invoked LO from terminal libreoffice from terminal and the Menu appeared. Next time I invoked from Cinnamon menu and the Menu appeared.
Now I have 2 versions of LO installed as stated in my first post. In Mint Menu there are 2 entries for each LO item like writer. How do I remove the LO 6.1.x? I want to keep 6.3.x.
Thank you .

From your output above (dpkg --list) I cannot see that you have 6.1.x version installed. All packages show version 6.3.1. Check whether there is an remainder of a package defining the Cinnamon menus. I don’t knowl how you installed 6.1.x and from where you get the packages, so I cannot know how to get rid of it.

I was able to remove 6.1.x version with sudo apt purge libreoffice6.1 Now there is only 6.3.1 version installed.

I am back to square one. LO 6.3.x doesnt have any menu hence I installed 6.1.x which has menu.
I started LO 6.3.x in safe mode but the menu didnt appear. Its really confusing.

In an unmaximized window, left click on three horizontal bar icon in the right top of the window. Go to “User Interface” and you will see it is set to “Tabbed”. Change that to “Standard Toolbar”.
