using = in a keyboard shortcut combination

Hi, I'm trying to bind ctrl+= as shortcut to insert some special character. But the combination does not show in the default shortcut list. Is it possible in anyway? Either by setting or macro or extension or editing some file directly. I think I can try to write a simple extension too, if I have some direction.

I think I can try to write a simple extension too, if I have some direction.

Contact the Developers or write a request of your wish on Bugzilla.
