If I buy a new computer and download LibreOffice will I be able to use it offline permanently? Will be used writing at cabin with NO internet

I ask this because Windows 10 has Word set up where you have to reconnect every 30 days or it stops working.

If I buy a new computer…

Then just install a good operating system such as Linux. Most common Linux distros include LibreOffice and install it by default. So, you will be able to immediately start working.

LibreOffice is a Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) where Free should be understood as meaning “liberty”. There is no electronic activation or periodic licence renewal.

Install it and use it as you like. No need for network connection. It works offline.

To be fully independent, don’t forget to install the “built-in” help if the installer doesn’t do it by default.
