I have been editting files and all of a sudden it says "loading" but it never loads any of the libreoffice files. The files say "locked"

I have tried to open my files on my laptop, at the library PC’s, files from my thumb drive but I cannot open. I have not had this issue previously. Help!! I need to get to these files ASAP
