Merge Impress files

Everything I’ve read says that it can’t be done. But since it works fine as far back as PowerPoint 97 (which I still love), I’ll try asking here to see if LibreOffice has somehow caught up with it.

Is there a way to take a slide, a few selected slides, or all the slides from one Impress presentation and merge them into or add them onto another one? This would be very useful in collaborative activities, where multiple people are composing different sections of the same presentation.

Yes, I have done this one slide at a time via copy and paste, but there has to be a better way.

Win 10, LibreOffice 6.2

Heh, I’d love to see Excel 97 merging slides…

… as Excel 97 (which I still love),

Nice that you like your programs so much. But what does Excel 97 have to do? Nothing!

You can paste one presentation into another.

Open the presentation in which you want to insert another.

Select the menu Slide> Insert slide from file.

With me Windows 10 Home; Version 1909; 64-Bit | LibreOffice, Version: 6.3.4.2 (x64).

Silly error on my part - I did of course intend to say ‘as far back as PowerPoint 97’. I’ve now edited the original post.

Yes, there is indeed such a thing as 'Slide> Insert slide from file’. How did I miss it? It did the job.

Thanks!
