change extension for saving LibreOffice Writer in Linux

Hello

I am using LibreOffice on Ubuntu Linux 18.04.

I am using both LibreOffice Writer and LibreOffice Calc - both of this Saving Method is ODT, but why we can’t save it in other formats like .docx?

please help me

This statement isn’t true. You can save in a variety of other formats, including .docx. But I strongly advise to stick with the default ODF format and to export to foreign formats only if you have a requirement to exchange your document to third parties, which are not able to read ODF formats. In any case, definitely don’t do a round-robin save procedure ODF → foreign format → ODF → foreign format → … on the same document, including changes in all formats performed by different applications (e.g, LibreOffice → Word → …).This would be a save way to data corruption.

Just keep in mind that LO expects that you know what you are doing making this change, and will not warn you about possible loss of formatting and/or data saving to external formats; yet, the absence of the warning doesn’t make the external format support perfect by miracle.
