How can I get Libreoffice to print a booklet N-up on a Canon IRC3200?

I have generated a file of 8-1/2 x 11 pages which I would like to print as a saddle stitched booklet on 11x17 paper.

If I use the brochure option of the print dialog, it does order and combine the pages properly, but it does not saddlestitch the output and I cannot find an option to turn that on.

The printer is a Canon ImageRunner Color 3200

My current workaround is to generate a PDF and boot into windows xp to print from adobe.
Not very convenient and it bothers me to boot into windows - EVER

Printing in an N-up arrangement (i.e., multiple pages per sheet) has long had problems under LO. The workaround is usually to export your document to PDF and then use a third-party tool (such as PDFtk) to externally perform the required pre-press manipulation i.e., transform from 1-up to 2-up in this case. The resultant N-up PDF can then be printed as required. It is usually advisable to print from PDF in any case, rather than a source document.

The saddlestitch stapling is an option on the printer NOT in LO. Try to go to the properties of the printer where you set up the brochure option and find it there.
