Save Impress presentation as Writer document

I have a number of Impress presentations that I would like to use as the basis for ebooks. As a starting point for this process, I’d like to save the presentations as documents that I can edit in Writer. But I can’t see any obvious way to do this.

I’d like to start with an Impress file and save it as a Writer document, preferably with one slide per page. And with the each slide embedded in its page as an image.

Can anyone suggest how I might achieve this?

Can anyone suggest how I might achieve this?

Here’s one suggestion:

First, open the Impress preseentation (of course):

Then switch to the Outline tab:

Hit CTRL-A to select all text, then CTRL-C to copy. Open your Writer document, and CTRL-V to paste it in.

You might want to save to a simple text editor first to get rid the formatting, or just re-format in Writer.

Reasonably painless? And there’s probably a better way, but that’s one!

That’s a bit of a lo-tech solution. But it might be the best I can do. Thanks.
