Is there a way to print a PDF to an email address?

Currently if I want to print a PDF copy of my page I have to create a PDF, create an email in my email client, add my PDF as an attachment, then send the email. Is there a way to shortcut this process?

Updated: It should read: "Currently if I want to EMAIL a PDF copy of my page I have to create a PDF, create an email in my email client, add my PDF as an attachment, then send the email. Is there a way to shortcut this process? "

Sorry for the confusion.

I discovered the solution.

File > send > email as PDF.

As a separate problem, I was having a problem where this would open outlook even though I had Thunderbird as my default email client. I reinstalled the latest version of Thunderbird and it works fine.

If you just want to view and print your PDF documents, have you considered getting a PDF Reader program? There are many available for use with Windows, most of them for free. I have used Sumatra for many years. Some recommend Adobe Reader but it is not necessary. There are others as well for Linux.

“Currently if I want to print a PDF copy of my page …”

You shouldn’t have to send your print jobs to yourself by e-mail. Before you save your document as a PDF, what happens when you just choose LO menu File → Print? Under the General tab, the name of your printer should appear as one of the choices. If your printer is not listed there, then your printer is not being properly recognized by your Operating System, and therefore also not by LibreOffice.

Sorry for the delayed response here.

My original question was not worded properly. What I am actually wanting to do is email the page in PDF format. I apologize for the misstatement.

OK, but can we assume that the solution you discovered yourself does solve the problem?

File > send > email as PDF

I corrected my original post. Thanks for your response. I have a great PDF writer that I use for reading and editing PDFs.

But to email a PDF copy to someone the simple way is File > send > email as PDF

If you are using any program to create PDF files, why not just save the PDF document and then use your e-mail program to send the created and saved document as an attachment?

This saves several steps and is less cluttered.
