I have installed LibreOffice on my Windows 10 system and have been working on creating a new Linux Server on my local network. The server is working and my testing has been going well. I have been making notes of my path to getting the Server running in a LibreOffice docx file on my Win10 system.
If the notes file is on my win10 system spell check works with no problems. However, if I map a network drive to the server on Win10 and put my Libreoffice notes file there, spell check no longer works.
What happens is that the small window intended for suggestions to the offending word does show but it is empty. And if the same file is on the windows 10 disks, the suggestions show in the small window.
A few words about the server: It is based on the new Raspberry Pi 4, uses Ubuntu 18.04 Server for Raspberry Pi and uses Samba to provide the shares to the network that Windows 10 subsequently makes use of. The server does NOT have a desktop installed and so does NOT have LibreOffice installed. When I open the file on the server, I open it through the mapped disk in the normal way. Everything seems to work except spell checks.
Any suggestions?
