Export as pdf with PDF/A-1a

Hi,

I am using libreoffice 4.1.2.3 on CentOS 64 bit. I am trying to export some pptx files to pdfs. When i check the option “PDF/A1-a” the export is very slow, it takes around 45 seconds for 3 slides. The same pptx file gets exported in 3-4 seconds if i do not check this option.

I would like to export pptx files as PDF/A-1a spec pdfs. Any idea how to make this export faster ?

What type of content does the PPTX contain? Only text or are there graphics / other objects, and what format are the graphics / objects? Can you link to an example?
