How do I get a word count?, see no Tools>word count and see none in what I believe to be the status bar.
Me thinks it is easier to just uninstall this complicated mess, cannot even get to ask a question with out jumping through hoops, no neeed to answer.

For starters, go learn some English.
LOL, gabix, that’s just a comical statement, my English is fine, typing is not so good though, maybe you can have some unhelpful/unrelated jack ass statement to say about that.
I have uninstalled LO at this point, while the work people have put into this is frankly, incredible, the learning curve is steeper then I am willing to get involved with for my simple needs, at least at this point. Thanks for the reply’s guys.
The word and char count is normally next to the page number/count in the status bar. Show your screen.
You guys are trying to help, wish I would not have uninstalled it at this point, I’ll download/install it again (no small task on the slooooow DSL)

¿Can you see the Status bar at the bottom edge of the window? If not, go to menu View ‣ Status Bar.
Another option is menu File ‣ Properties ‣ Statistics.
Ignorance is not our friend, had unbeknownst to me saved the file in a drawing format, obviously no text there to count, all is good for now.
