LibreOffice Base - the lines to link fields in queries and relationships are not showing - why?

Hi,

I Installed LibreOffice Base 6.1.5.2 on Linux Debian Buster.

The lines used to associate fields in Queries (by dragging primary keys to foreign keys) are not showing. Nor in Relationships.

I see the tooltip during the drag indicating (with a green plus icon) that the line should be successfully made but isn’t.

Hello,

Could be an invalid relationship. Could be a error in Base. This works in Ubuntu (various versions). Please provide a scrubbed sample.

I thought the same - and so downloaded the demo base file here:

The issue persists wit the demo file too.

@tickmc,

Have been using LO Fresh versions from TDF for many years. Currently on v6.4.4.2 and do not see this problem. It may have been present some time in the past but haven’t any recollection when that may have been. The sample you link to works fine for me.

You may want to try a newer version or reset your user profile → here. Otherwise file a report here → Bugzilla

Thanks for the tips. I did the following:

Downloaded the latest version of 6.4
Reset my LibreOffice user profile in Safe Mode

Still the same symptoms remain.

So, it is not an issue with the database, nor my profile, nor the software - as you are able to do it on yours. Yet, I cannot. Most odd.

Which desktop environment ? KDE ?

It is a Chrome OS > Crostini implementation so no desktop other than Chrome OS.

My experience has been confirmed by other running similar environments using Crostini.
