How do I get offline help for MacOS version of Libreoffice?

Perhaps I’m not seeing it, but I cannot find where to download the offline help version of LibreOffice for mac (v6.4.4.2). I notice there is a link for the download for all other versions, but it is missing for MacOS. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

Hello,

“Offline Help” for macOS is integrated into the core package (en_US) or the langpack (all other languages). There is no special helppack package for macOS.

Remark Offline Help is also opened by calling your default browser (notice the URL beginning with file:///......)

Hope that helps.

Sorry, but I installed the dmg pkg as indicated, and no help file came with it. When I click on LibreOffice Help in the Help menu, it opens a web page in my browser for online help, same as clicking Get Help Online. That doesn’t look like Offline to me. I just downloaded the package that came up in my browser. Should I have downloaded the language pack also, or gone to the en-us version? Why, out of curiosity, is there no help pack for MacOs? I thought there used to be.

Do I really need to repeat what my answer already states? OK - it is installed either through LibreOffice_6.4.4_MacOS_x86-64.dmg, if you use English (USA) for your user interface’s (UI) language or it is installed through LibreOffice_6.4.4_MacOS_x86-64_langpack_<country_code>.dmg, if you use <country_code> for your user interface’s (UI) language.

Did you read the remark in the answer? Offline Help also uses a browser (there is no special viewer) and you can recognise that by URLs starting with file:///... instead of https://...

And as already stated - if you need an UI language different from English (USA) you need to install the proper langpack, which also provides the Offline Help for that language.

Thanks for your kind words of explanation
