My documents won't save

I recently downloaded the 6.4.4 version and deleted the older version I had. I decided only to download LibreOffice Word since that’s the only program I use. However, since installing this one, it won’t allow me to save my documents. I keep getting a box that pops saying “Error saving the document Untitled 1: Object not accessible. The object cannot be accessed due to insufficient user rights”. I’m wondering and hoping there’s a way to fix this because I would love to start my writing again.

“Word” is not a component of LibreOffice. I think you mean Writer. You cannot separate the components of LibreOffice because they are interdependent in using common routines and subroutines within LibreOffice. You need to install the complete LibreOffice package, whether you use all or just one of the components. Further, if you were truly able to “only download LibreOffice Word”, then it wasn’t LibreOffice that you downloaded.

Using LibreOffice Writer (Word processing):

Download LibreOffice in the version do you want.
You must take your operating system into account in the selection process.

Install LibreOffice.

LibreOffice is a complete package and it is not possible to install single modules like Writer.

But you can only start the module Writer after installation. Example Windows 10:
