How to reset the Libreoffice Writer clipboard behavior? Any time I copy from Google Chrome, writer pastes the previous clipboard content! It's driving me crazy, the software simply became unusable. Version: (x64) here. Can someone recommend me an old version that works? I saw the bug reports of this problem, are developers actually aware of this annoying bug?

saw the bug reports of this problem,

Please provide a reference to the bug reports.

Which operating system are you using (the description sounds like the known bug of clipboard manager mutter)?

hello @icefront,

don't worry, you are in good company, there are hundrets of reports and filed bugs about dozens of flavours of copy/paste misbehaviour in LO ...

(it is useless to ask users for individual receipts or specific confirmation / circumstances when you have realized this)

most of the flavours have workarounds like first pasting in another application (e.g. notepad) and then copying from there or retry copying or similar, but not all,

the big problem with this: most of the errors occur only sporadically, and are therefore 'not reproducible', and such a thing is 'difficult' for the developers,

the good news: it should/could have changed something to version 7.1 ... not sure because nobody knows where and what the improvement has brought (just like before nobody knew what, why and when it didn't work), but as far as I have seen there are at least much less bugs ...

'old version that works' - reports go back to 2011, short check shows similar complaints for apache OpenOffice, thus not a viable solution,

hope: comment from Timur:

download - experimental! - dev-version: LibreOffice dev versions:

best regards,

As long as OP isn't providing his operating system your advice may be right or wrong. If OP uses an operating system with clipboard manager "mutter* your advice probably is wrong and doesn't fix the issue. Even if there a plenty of reports copy&paste being faulty in LibreOffice, it many cases it turned out, that in fact it got nothing to do with LibreOffice but with clipboard manager in use.
