Writer sometimes hangs when using my brand new computer with windows 10 version 1909. Sometimes only Title bar is displayed and sometimes when Using the Menu bar and clicking on 'File" and empty rollout is displayed. Have to abort Writer and start anew to get a correct display. Libreoffice 6.4.4.2 was installed but after uninstalling and reinstalling an older version 6.3.6 same behaviour !
What can I do to get rid of this problem? I am using the Dutch language version of LO.
If set, try to disable OpenGL in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use OpenGL for all rendering and check whether that fixes your problem
Did that but that did not solve the problem. But… you put me on track. I went to Writer > Tools > Options and then in View I changed the “Icon style” from "Automatic into “Tango” and that, until now, solved that annoying problem. Haven’t the foggiest idea why but anyway I got rid of it.
