LO-Calc: Menu-items "Window - Freeze" missing

Hello all,

I have created an ODS from a CSV, saved the file in the new format (.ODS), added a few cells (calculations) and formattings. Then I wanted to fix the headings when scrolling. I had done this before (but it’s a while back) with the menu-item “window - freeze”. However in my current installation, the menu-item simply isn’t there. The window-menu only consists of the entries “new window”, “close window” and a list of the open documents. The Docs say it still should be available at that spot (unless I’ve looked up the wrong version).

I’m using:

  • Version: 6.4.4.2 (x64)
  • Build-ID: 3d775be2011f3886db32dfd395a6a6d1ca2630ff
  • CPU-Threads: 4; BS: Windows 6.3 Build 9600; UI-Render: GL; VCL: win;
  • Gebietsschema: de-DE (de_DE); UI-Sprache: de-DE
  • Calc: CL

Machine: Windows 8.1 (current patch-level)

What’s wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Eleusius.

The help for version 6.4 has the up-to-date information (so you obviously used some wrong version of help):

Choose View - Freeze Cells - Freeze Rows and Columns

Well, it might be slightly off - and “Freeze Rows and Columns” is not under “Freeze Cells” (tdf#134602) - but still more helpful

Thank you!

Hello again,

since the website states, that an answer should be given (even by self) if available, I’ll point out that the comment from Mike Kaganski pretty much nailed it. The menu-item has been moved from window to view and works as designed (as it had always worked).

Thanks Mike!

Eleusius.
