Tab separated CSV named .xls opes with Writer

Hi.

I’ve a customer sending to a user tab-separated CSV files which are named .xls, that is Sample file.xls. When trying to open those files automatically with double-click they show up in Writer as (unreadable) text files.

Of course renaming them to .csv is the solution, but I’d like to know if there’s some configuration option to change LO’s behaviour for this kind of files.

Using 6.0.7 on Ubuntu 18.04.

I suggest you to file an enhancement request like “use the component associated with the file’s extension as a hint when choosing filter to open files”, with the use case explained.
