What version of Java JDK / JRE is required for Macintosh OS version 10.15.6 and LibreOffice Base and where is it stored on the Macintosh system

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) version 10.15.6 Quad-Core Intel Core i7 RAM 16 GB

there is no special version requirement, but there is a requirement to install JDK (not JRE) on macOS. Check here to download:

If Oracle License doesn't fit your situation (no personal use only), you may use

PS: JDK installs into /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk-<version>.jdk/ but generally you don't need to know the path, since LibreOffice will find your installation automatically.
