What is "OpenPGP"

When trying to download version 7.0, your site says you may want to download OpePGP.

your site

Who is your? Almost all users here are users of LibreOffice like you and not affiliated to TDF. In that sense it is also your site.

Hello

From RFC 4880 Standard: OpenPGP - General Functions

That is not an answer. What is RFC 4880. And it still does not say what OpenPGP is.

This is an answer - but obviously you can’t understand it, which is a different thing.

You still haven’t answered the question – what does Open PGP stand for. There is an update available for LibreOffice that states they are updating OpenPGP. I am asking what that is. If you’re updating something, explain what it is in English, not some unknown jargon.

You seem to not understand that you don’t have a legal entitlement volunteers answering your question in a way that is comprehensible to you.The link provided explains in English the 4 basic functions of OpenPGP and there is nothing to add. And the people here, which you obviously assume to be something like “representatives of LibreOffice” (which we are not) don’t update anything, since they do neitgher develop LibreOffice, nor do they package LibreOffice nor do they provide automatic updates. I really wonder why you did install OpenPGP, if you don’t know what it is used for and it is an optional third party component.

OpenPGP = Open Pretty Good Privacy (if you’re interested in what does Open PGP stand for)
