Editing freehand shapes copied from Word

Is it possible to copy a freehand shape object from Word to LibreOffice, and still be able to edit the points that make up the shape?

Using Word 2010 and LO 6.4.6.2. I couldn’t copy and paste, or drag shape into Writer. Saving a page with a shape on it as .docx opened in Writer but points not editable.

  • Export to pdf from Word using DoPDF
saved the shape in vector format.
That PDF opened in Draw and the
    points could be edited.
  • Save as PDF from Word could also be
opened in Draw and points edited

So, yes it can be done but needs more than one step. Cheers, Al

Note that the fill and the outline become two separate, independent shapes.

Thanks Al.
I use Word 2007, but the trick of going via pdf worked just like you said.
Many thanks.
