Can't edit new slides?

I wanted to add an additional slide in an existing PowerPoint, i selected New Slide, which it created, but when i wanted to edit it, the blinking cursor would not appear.

Question: How can i edit my new slides again?

Note:

• Windows 7(32-bit)
• Libreoffice version: 4.1.3.2
• Saved as Microsoft PowerPoint 97/2000/XP/2003(.ppt) (*.ppt)
• This PowerPoint has also been opened, edited and saved by Microsoft Power Point(2010)
• The same issue seems also to be existing when selecting new slide in Microsoft Power Point(2010)
• Using a template from template manager called: Metropolis

Have you tried to change “slide layout” (Format>Slide Layout…)? Maybe it is on “blank slide”?

simly go to LIBRE OFFICE IMPRESS. select the slide you want to edit and you can choose which design you would like to
