Files crash and recover in 4.x when I edit cells

I installed 4.0 and then 4.1 on my Win7Pro 64-bit, and my Calc files crash when I attempt to edit cells. They always recover, and I can edit cells after that, but if I close a file and open another, the same thing happens. It became such a hassle I uninstalled the 4.x and reinstalled 3.6. Calc runs fine with no crashes during edits. Can I fix this? Doug

Try resetting the user profile after install 4.1:
