when I choose "save as" all I get is the little twirlly ball - nothing else. How can I name and save a document?

I used to be able to name a document and choose what format to save it in. Now I get nothing but the whirling beach ball! Help! using Mac Catalina 10.15.5

Hello,

your question, seems similar to :

On mac catalina I can't save my work

which sadly also has no answer, yet.

You could try

  1. changing the security settings to allow libreoffice to make changes to your system.

    (more info: https://www.howtogeek.com/443611/how-macos-catalinas-new-security-features-work/)

  2. start soffice.bin from a terminal and see if any error is writen to it, wenn you try to save a file. (If you need help with this, just ask in the comments)

Hope that helps.
