Changed font color reverts back to default black automatic

libreoffice-6.4.6.2 (x64)
windows-7
calc

Problem: I want a column in a spreadsheet to display as well as print in red. When I try to do this, initially it appears to work. I can change the font color from the toolbar, but after entering a value and moving to a new column or row the value previously entered changes to the default black. Is there away to over-ride this?

FYI: In comparing LibreOffice 6.4.6.2 with 7.0.1.2, I noticed that in the new release of Calc the Font Color and Background Color buttons in the toolbar no longer display the color information.

Do you have track changes turned on?

“a value” is what? All values, only numeric values, only text values? Colour defined in number format code? Conditional formatting with font colour styled? Both would override the font colour. Value Highlighting enabled? That would lead to black text and blue numbers and green formula results. Hit Ctrl+F8 to disable again.

That’s because now they display the colour that would be applied when clicking the button, which is also the colour when the button was last used to apply a colour.

I cannot understand the problem with me. Numbers that were colored red remain red.

You can try the menu Help>Restart in Safe Mode... to start.

If the error is no longer present, you should reset your user profile to factory default.

If this does not help, you might be able to upload a reduced and anonymous document here.
