Copy a single style from one document to another.

I only see a way of copying all styles across. How do I get one across please?

Thanks.

Open both files.

Copy a word or paragraph (depending on the style, paragraph style sheet or character style sheet) that has the style you need in the other document.
In the other document paste the copied word or paragraph. The style should have been transferred with it.
The copied text can now be deleted.

There is just the resriction that the target file must not have a style with the same name. Otherwise the settings for the style of the imported text are ignored.

@Lupp, perfect. Thanks.

Thanks. It would be nice to be given the option to overwrite the target style (with an undo). I guess if the target file is not the/a template then that could be problematic though.

This is not a solution for the initial question. Please use the more link in this “non-answer” to repost as a comment. This site is a Question & Answer one, not a forum. Adding an “answer” seriously diminishes the probability to get a solution as contributors see the question as answerd.
