May you please submit the Liberation Fonts (Liberation Sans, Liberation Serif, etc.) to Google Fonts?

I would like the Liberation Fonts to be submitted to Google Fonts, so that everyone can use them within Google Docs or embed them in websites. The Liberation Fonts are one of my favourite fonts, because they look like more “modern” and “clean” versions of Arial and Times New Roman. I use them in all my essays and classwork, and on my YouTube channel. Thanks!

@gabix: I am not sure the question should be deleted. After all, it has been asked. Closing it with reason “off-topic” will keep it and show future posters that this kind of questions will not receive positive answer.

Libre Office uses whatever fonts it finds in your OS. “The Document Foundation” (TDF) does not design fonts and does not distribute fonts for themselves. This question should be asked to the makers of the Liberation suite.

To show the community your question has been answered, click the ✓ next to the correct answer, and “upvote” by clicking on the ^ arrow of any helpful answers. These are the mechanisms for communicating the quality of the Q&A on this site. Thanks!

Not really. The Liberation fonts are distributed under the GPL and can be freely used for any purpose. Thus, the question should to Google.

If only that was true… Unfortunately, LibreOffice does bundle some fonts (on macOS and WIndows); and from time to time, it adds another fancy font to the bundle, “because it’s so cool!!!”. And then it becomes very difficult to remove it from the bundle, because that would silently remove such font from user’s system, and break their documents using that font…

Arimo, Cousine and Tinos fonts it’s the same Liberation Sans, Liberation Mono and Liberation Serif but licensed under the OFL. So you can use it instead Liberation Family.
