LO crashes on FreeBSD 12.2. Fatal Exception: Signal 11

Hi:

After upgrade to 7.0.3.1_1, LO does not start. It crashes immediately with message: Fatal Exception: Signal 11.

My system is FreeBSD 12.2

libreoffice --safe-mode crashes with the same message

libreoffice --backtrace: gdb says: during startup program excited with code 127

I reinstalled all the packages – no effect.

I installed LO via ports – the same problem

I downgraded to LO 6: crashes with the same message, but it did work prior to the upgrade.

I removed ./config/libreoffice directory – no effect

LO 7 works on my different system running FreeBSD 12.2. I presumed there was something wrong with my config files. I checked all of them and compared with the other system. The only difference is that the computer on which the LO crashes has an NVIDIA driver, while the other one has an AMD driver.

I did not change any config files after the upgrade. However, many packages were upgraded automatically via pkg upgrade.

I will be thankful for any insight.

Sincerely,
Pete

SIGSEV (Segmentation faults; Signal 11) are in general bugs of the software by trying to access unassigned memory segments. So you need to file a bug report with the team who build the software for FreeBSD 12.2 (I’m not aware of a version built by TDF)

Your posting is double offtopic because a) this site is for questions and answers about LibreOffice usage, not about bug reports, and b) no BSD builds have ever been officially released by the TDF.
