Auto-delete Columns?

Is there any way to automatically delete all columns except a relatively few that are relevant? E.g., have cols A through GH, only want G, R, AA through AD, BF. I know I can do it manually, but it’s a pain and I’ll want to repeat the action in other sheets of the same structure.

Thanks for all responses. Originally, I had pictured processing each data set serially, using the same technique, once found. With a little rearrangement, I can have several sets on different sheets and see if Michel’s suggestion works for me.

Hello

I do not know how to do it “automatically” but at least, what you can do on a single sheet, can be done simultaneously on all the pre-selected sheets. Just select all the wanted tabs, either continuous, by hitting the first sheet’s tab, pressing Shift and simultabeously hitting the last sheet’s tab and/or, one by one, while maintaining pressed down Ctrl.

After this tabs selection, delete the columns you want, change all the cells you want… on the sheet you see : all these actions will be done on all selected sheets.

When finished with reshaping the sheets, do not forget to “brake” the sheet’s selection : select another sheet.

Kind regards, Michel

I couldn’t get that method to work to delete non-contiguous columns on LO 6.4.7.2, Win 10; just the visible sheet’s columns were deleted. Of course, it works to enter values, etc. simultaneously. Cheers, Al

Hello @EarnestAl and @Diomaiuti

This works with LO 6.4.6.2 on Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS.

Kind regards
