Shortcut to insert formula in Writer document

Hello, is there a shortcut to insert a formula in Writer? You normally do this by Insert>Object>Formula, but
when working in a document and having to do this a lot, a shortcut would be most welcome.
I did browse the ‘Getting Started’ Guide but could not find any clue.
Thanks in advance!

There is no predefined shortcut. You have to define it yourself. The command is the second “Formula” item in the category “Insert”. See section “Assigning shortcut keys” in chapter 14 “Customizing LibreOffice” of the “Getting Started” Guide. For example ALT-F is a free keyboard shortcut you can use.

I do not use a keyboard shortcut but add the command (“Formula” with the square-root icon) to the standard toolbar.

You can add it through Menu/Tools/Customize
(The second Formula)

Thanks you very much for your responses!
I will take a look at the shortcut possibility, but the other solution, adding the ‘Formula’ command to
the standard toolbar: How can I do this? Tried it several times without success.

Find the description too in the already mentioned chapter “Customizing LibreOffice” of the “Getting Started” Guide.

All right, all right…, mea culpa. I am not a experienced user of this forum.
Will try to solve this myself
