I am trying to put my documents from libre into microsoft word

They wont take and say cannot transfer it how do i do this?

Open Word, click File > Open (Ctrl+O), navigate to your .odt file and click OK.

If you have an older version of Word, e.g. 2010 then it might say the file is unreadable. Then you will need to save your .odt files as .docx before it will open them without destroying them, probably irreparably.

What do you want to do? You don’t put documents into applications. You use applications to open documents (and probably use the application to convert to the respective native document format). In that sense: LibreOffice does not have your documents hence there is no need to transfer the documents to something else. The documents are stored on a storage device like a hard disk, USB device or any network resource (which you did not mention at all). So the question is not clear what you really want to do. Are you in fact asking: “If double clicking on a file with .odt extension, I want it to be opened by Word instead of by LibreOffice Writer”?

Who is They and what do you mean by transfer (some cloud service)? What are you doing when “They … say …”?

Maybe the question is “How do I save to Onedrive?”.

I can’t answer that as I don’t use Onedrive

OneDrive seems to create a local synchronised folder, see Sync OneDrive. Save or copy to that?
