I do not have Open Office now as I have had to carry out a recovery process on my p.c. So if I download LibreOffice I will need to download saved files that were produced on Open Office. Would there be any problem here ?

Generally speaking, the files created in Apache OpenOffice will open and behave as expected in LibreOffice. There may however be some corner cases where differences will be experienced. It really depends on the degree and method of use of the various features in Writer.
