Can I "special paste" in different languages?

When I special paste in different languages, the text in the linked documents appears in the form of question marks (?).
Is there a solution?

Please edit your question to make it more descriptive. Provide an example. Don’t forget to mention your LO version and your OS.

This is actually a problem of your setup and not LibreOffice.
You may find the previous ask question “All my characters have become question marks” of use. Assuming you are using Linux or Windows you can check the character being displayed. is Unicode for an error. FFFD alt x will display this character. Language setting is very important here. What language and characters are you trying to display?

For those who use special pasting in Libre Office (win 10 pro) in different languages they need to do the following:
Settings->Time and language->Language->Administrative language settings->Language for non-Unicode programs->Change system locale.
In the pop up window I chose the desired language and I clicked on the "Beta:Use Unicode UTF-8 worldwide language support.
I also installed the language pack I was interested (in addition of the keyboard of the language).
I am not sure if all those are actions are necessary but since nothing else was affected I kept them all.
Thanks for pointing out the probable issue petermau
