Insert Line with AutoCorrect doesn't work anymore

Hello LibreOffice Users,

I have a little problem with my LibreOffice Writer. I write “—” then press SPACEBAR and it doesn’t insert a line. I remember I used this type of Autocorrect before but now it doesn’t work. The Autocorrect language and page language are the same. Other Autocorrect works such a “->” to create an arrow. Any Idea? Should I create a new Autocorrect format? I don’t know how to do it, on the Autocorrrect option page I can’t create a new format cause the “New” button is gray.
I would appreciate if someone finds a solution. Thanks for reply!

I think it’s not the spacebar, but the Enter key you need to press after (at least) 3 contiguous dashes in an otherwise empty paragraph.
Please note that this doesn’t insert a line (or anything), but changes the border format of the paragraph above. If you later want to remove or delete the line you will fail. You then need to edit the paragraph properties.
Only if no additional hard paragraph attribute is applied, you can remove the bottom border by Ctrl+M without causing probably unwanted side-effects.
The described AutoCorrect feature will only work if
>Tools>AutoCorrect>AutoCorrect Options...>>Options>>>Apply border is enabled.

If Apply border is disabled, Enter or Space after --- will give an em dash ().
