Libra office impress

jpeg images saved in libra office impress to a file in one drive are randomly lost

libra office

The software is named “LibreOffice”

Always save in native format .odp.

Are the images there but hidden by other objects? Maybe the z order changed if saved to a different format.

Were the jpg images linked and not embedded? Changing location would break the link

What do you see where the images were?

Where is the file and where are the images? it’s not clear if you embed images in link them. Check page 6 here: https://documentation.libreoffice.org/assets/Uploads/Documentation/en/WG4.2/PDF/WG4208-WorkingWithImages.pdf

We may not like it, but LibraOffice exist.

They even sell LibreOffice for a tenner: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ie/p/libreoffice-vanilla/9npr3bznj4dm?activetab=pivot:overviewtab Hilarious…

I’ve just encountered the same or a similar problem. I’ve been inserting jpg images and all was fine over last few days and, initially, this morning. Then I left the PC for a while and when I came back many, but not all, the images had been replaced by boxes of the same size as the missing images. In the top left corner of each box is a small icon (looks like a mountain range + sun in sky). To the right of each icon are 3 dots. I have re-inserted a couple of the lost images and then saved the Impress file. Then I tried deleting the original image file from the folder from where I had inserted it. When I re-opened the Impress file the image was still present, so it seems that the file is not linking to anything outside of itself.
Is there anything I am missing or doing wrong?
Regards
Mike

Most likely it’s OneDrive problem not LO problem. Also if you use Libr_A_Office, I hope MS provides support for it.
