I cannot access any of my saved files. When I click on the icon I’ve been using for ages, nothing happens

There is insufficient detail, please click the edit link just below your answer and add your Operating System and version, what icon you are clicking, and whether you can open LO from your start menu. Cheers, Al
Libre Office 6.3 won’t open
Why could you click on the icon, if Libre Office 6.3 won’t open at all. LibreOffice must be "open* (started) to be able to click on anything. Probably this should read: “LibreOffice 6.3 won’t open files clicking thumbnail in Start Center”

Do not rely on the icons you see in the right pane of LibreOffice Start Center. Use File -> Open and select the file from your operating system’s (which you did not mention) file picker dialog. If you don’t know where teh files are, hover your mouse over the icon in the right pane of LibreOffice Start Center. You’ll a tool tip about the location of the respective file associated with the icon (link).
