Base 7.0.4 crashes when trying to open OS X Contacts database.

Is there a workaround?

not sure if this will help.
Had the same problem using Windows, Crash, Recovery, Crashed on Recovery

By default a fresh install will have macros disabled, my dbs have autostart macros, so when I
changed the macro settings under Tools,Options, Security it was fine after deleting the lock file and temp directory in the database folder of the
split database.
You can also try to check if your db will start in Safe mode … Help Menu, start in safe Mode.

Neither changing the macro option nor opening in safe mode stop the crashing.

It’s being to look like an Apple security thing.
