Hi, I want a column which starts with the first value on A1 e.g. 3. The following data down the column should be:
A1*1
A1*2
A1*3
A1*4
.... and so on.
When I select three terms and drag the black box, bottom right, down. It continues:
A3*1
A3*2
A3*3
A6*1
A6*2
.... etc.
Please help.

@heartpick - your cell content is not really clear to me but maybe the screenshot helps you.
In cell A1 enter the initial base (e.g., 3). In cell A2 enter the formula =A1+A$1. Click on cell A2 and drag down. This will continue to add the value in cell A1 (using an absolute reference to row 1 i.e., $1) to the value in the prior cell (i.e., A3 for cell A4, etc.)
