Calc freezing with blocks of cells

LibreOffice Calc, v. 4.1.3.2, Build ID 410m0 (Build:2) with Kubuntu 13.10 (Saucy). If a small block of cells (say, 2 columns and 20 rows) is selected, trying to move the block (either by dragging it with the mouse left button down or by using Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V copy/paste) causes the program to freeze. I can minimize it, so I can continue with other work, but can’t close or save.

Guess the next step is to uninstall and reinstall? Obviously Calc is unusable with this problem.

@werdigo49 - I can’t make a test because I have a windows machine. However, what about an upgrade to 4.1.5 or 4.2.1?
At least on my XP/SP3 machine and 4.1.5 I don’t see this problem at all.

Thanks. Tonight Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V is working OK, and using the small indicator at the lower right corner of a block to extend the pattern of the blocked cells works too. But selecting a block of cells and trying to drag it with the mouse locks up the program. Tonight I have not even been able to minimize the Calc screen, and have had to reboot. Maybe Calc is usable if I remember to use Copy-Paste or Cut-Paste instead of trying to drag things.

I’ll look for 4.1.5 or 4.2.1. But 4.1.3 is the version that’s in the Kubuntu Saucy repository.

OK… I just installed 4.2 and the problem seems to be gone! Thanks again for your suggestion. The Kubuntu Saucy (Software) forum apparently was very familiar with this problem, and also advised the upgrade.
