After doing a back up on one drive, we are not able to access LO at all ... Why

One drive was full, for some reason everything got saved to one drive. We didn’t know as we have bought the pc second hand like that. We did a back up to free space as requested but now we are not able to access Libre Office at all. We keep on getting the error message … user access denied. We’ve uninstall and re-installed LO 7.1.2.2 but still have the same problem.

What went wrong with the backing up and the access to all files on the pc?

Do you mean “We are not able to access files stored in One Drive”? Or does LibreOffice not start with that “user access denied”-message? Were are your files now - still in OneDrive or on your local disk?.

LibreOffice does not start at all

Several hits on the Net like this one: “Access Denied” or other errors when you access or work with files and folders in Windows.

If you’ve already tried something, please edit your question to mention what has been tried already (except reinstalling).

You should tell if you manage to open LO and then get stuck when opening a document or if even starting LO is not possible. That would be quite weird, except it there is a problem with the LibreOffice user profile.
