How can i back up my database data to a usb to use between computers

I have just started using the software. In addition to backing up i wish to be able to work with the datbase between my pc and laptop. Hope this makes sense. Please keep your reply as simple as possible please

Copy the ODB file to the stick and from there to the other computer.

When working on two computers in this way, it is always important to know on which PC you last worked.

Additionally it complicates the data backup.

**It is explicitly not a recommendation from me.**

As you wrote you just started, I assume you use the default embedded database (if you have the database open the bottom line may show embedded HSQLDB and embedded Database).

Only for this embedded database (HSQL or Firebird) all necessary data is contained in the .odb-File, wich csn be moved like spreadsheet or writer-files.
You can open them anywhere with LibreOffice and usually also OpenOffice.

But like other files: If you edit on both systems YOU are responsible to keep this in sync. If you just want to have a second system installed or you read only the data, without editing there should be no trouble arise.
