What might have caused macros to stop working.

Calls to existing macros seem to produce no action at all. I edited some macro to start with a MsgBox to just announce that the macro had been called. Also, whenever I click the “Modules” icon on the menu bar of the Edit macros dialog, it inevitably causes LibreOffice to crash. This began shortly after I attempted to install XrayTool.

Hello,

You have not presented your OS or LO version and where did you get this version from. I mention as I have another post with a similar problem with the MsgBox. As for XRay it is still uncertain. Post is → Base Form macro not responding.. Now I have no problem but I use MRI.

Have you removed XRay and possibly reset your user profile → LibreOffice user profile

Sorry, my OS is windows 10 home version 2004. My LibreOffice version is 7.0.5.2 (x64). I think I have removed the XrayTool from the Macro libraries. I had to use the Removing_Xray macro to do so. I also tried “repairing” my installation of OfficeLibre. I backed up and deleted the user profile as suggested. Now I get the error message “The driver class ‘com.mysql.jdbc.Driver’ could not be loaded.”

This should be posted as a comment not an answer.

I would guess resetting the user profile would require reloading certain items. It appears you need to set the driver again in LO.

Of course if you have a problem doing that you can go back to the backed up user profile.

My brief testing on both Ubuntu 20.04 & Windows 10 showed Xray was not a problem. Still do not know what is causing the issue.

As the other question has now been solved, have you checked you macro security level setting?

From menu Tools->Options. Under LibreOffice-> Security. On right → Macro Security.
