LibreOffice 7.x support for standard ODF

Hi guys. I have specific question about LibreOffice support for standard, non “extended” ODF: whether is ODF supported with WYSWYG feauture, or only as export/internal conversion from ODF Extended? Or simpler, when I decide to switch default format into standard OASIS ODF incompatible funcionality become inaccessable and I can safely editing document without fear for any formating damage, or is it more tricky?

Is it LO relible for using with OASIS ODF?

Sorry, I’m not try to troll or piss you off, but I’m working in environment with multiple OS and Office suits, and wants to make everything works together fine, with minimum effort from user side. And after reading wiki and some documentation still have some doubts.

It is more tricky. LibreOffice does not limit your available set of functionality depending on the chosen ODF level. It will just be unable to save it.

You can choose the desired ODF version in the
Tools - Options - Load/Save - General - Default Fileformat…

Note: the latest LO verios uses the ODF 1.3 by default, and the highest verion what the AOO can handle is ODF 1.2, and (if I know it exactly) the MS Office can read the ODF 1.1 only.

MS Office can read the ODF 1.1 only

Wikipedia claims that MSO on Windows supports ODF 1.2 starting from version 2013.
