How do you copy conditional formats from one cell to another and get the cell references in the conditional format to change correctly?
Copy the format with the brush and click it on the new cell. The conditional format will be added to the existing range or ranges. But sometimes you have to manually combine disparate ranges.
Yes, that works, but it doesn’t do what I need. What I need is a new conditional format created for the receiving cell with the cell references in the new conditional format changed appropriately. Like when you copy a cell with a formula in it using cell references to a new cell and the cell references are changed automatically. It use to work that way awhile back.
Don’t use absolute addressing as $A$1, use A1 style
I don’t have any absolute addressing in any of the conditional format formulas and they still will not change when I try to copy them.
