Tan colored letter or numbers

Been working on a book for the past 8 months When I try to backspace, it won’t work. If I try to correcet a word, I get a Tan colored letter or number. I am unable to complete my book and I don’t want the tan correction on my document. Please help!!!

I need to complete my book and send it to a publisher, but I cannot backspace, or if i try to change a word or number, I get a tan colored number or letter. If I try to get rid of the tan number or letter, it creates a tan line through the number or word. This was never here before, and I can’t get rid of it HELP!!

[Edit Opaque] Shortened title and put original title to first paragraph of details.

It sounds like you have track changes turned on. If that is the case and you are using Windows then Ctrl+Shift+C
If this helps then please tick the answer (:heavy_check_mark:) …and/or show you like it with an uptick (∧)

And click Accept All to implement the changes that you made while Track Changes was turned on.

I don’t know who posted this answer, but Thank you so very much! I am now able to finish editing my book. For me this is a great Mother’s Day gift. I appreciate you taking the time to help a non-techy person like me. Once I saw the part about "Track Changes’, I was able to click “accept all” and now it works perfectly. Thank you once again.

You are Welcome.
