Hello,
because your security settings prevent from automatic updates of your external data, you get Err:540
. You need to:
Set Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Calc -> General -> Option: Update links when opening: [o] Always (from trusted locations)
Set trusted locations: Use Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Security -> Button: Macro Security -> Tab: Trusted Sources -> Category: Trusted File Locations -> Button: Add
to add the directory of your file(s) which you want to trust to automatically update external links.
Important: You must not select the path of the file containing the source data, but the path of the file linking to external data. In fact you define a trust relation of LibreOffice as an application to the file, which is loading external data.
If you want automatic update at some frequency (let’s say all 10 minutes = 600 seconds) you could do that using Edit -> Links to External Files… -> Modify -> [x] Update every -> 600
Hope that helps.
because your security settings prevent from automatic updates of your external data, you get `Err:540’. You need to:
Set Tools → Options → LibreOffice Calc → General → Option: Update links when opening: [o] Always (from trusted locations)
There is no “Option”
BUT THERE IS “FORMULAS”
Use English Function names Check the box
Default settings Check the box
and Recalculation on File Load Check the box
Change settings to “Always recalculate” Check the box
Tools → Options → LibreOffice Calc → General inside the pane under Update links when opening [o] Always (from trusted locations)
There is no “Option”
Option: use the option, which is mentioned and my answer literally mentions the name of the option, which is called [o] Always (from trusted locations)
, with [o]
symbolizing that it must be checked (To be honest: I can’t get what’s so hard to understand here).
